Abstract
Pšenica (Triticum sp.) je jedna od tri najznačajnije ratarske kulture. Pšeničnim kruhom hrani se oko 70% stanovništva svijeta. Pšenica se prilagodila zahtjevima tržišta u smislu nutritivnih vrijednosti, visine prinosa, a sve to je postignuto radom oplemenjivača. Visina biljke pšenice je kvantitativno svojstvo pod utjecajem minor gena i okoliša te je zbog toga vrlo varijabilno. Cilj rada bio je utvrditi fenotipske razlike između divljih srodnika pšenice i današnjih modernih sorti. Pšenica je praćena u svim fazama razvoja tijekom kojih su prikupljeni agronomski i morfološki podaci. Nakon provedenih mjerenja te statističke obrade podataka zaključeno je da je busanje kod divljih srodnika puno slabije i manji je broj vlati u odnosu na moderne sorte koje se jako dobro busaju i stvaraju puno bočnih izdanaka. Visina biljke divljih srodnika pšenice viša u odnosu na moderne sorte dok su klasovi s manjim brojem plodnih klasića i manjim brojem zrna te manjim prinosom zrna.
Abstract (english)
Wheat (Triticum sp.) is one of the three most important agricultural crops. About 70% of the world's population is using wheat bread. Wheat has adapted to the demands of the market in terms of nutritional value, yield, and all this was achieved by breeders. Wheat plant height is a quantitative trait influenced by minor genes and environemtal conditions, and is therefore highly variable. The aim of this thesis was to determine the phenotypic differences between wild relatives of wheat and today's modern varieties. Wheat was monitored in all stages of development during which data were collected. After the measurements and statistical analysis of data, it was concluded that the rooting of the wild relatives is much weaker and the number of leaves is smaller compared to the modern varieties, which are very well rooted and produce a lot of side shoots. The height of wild relatives of wheat is much higher compared to modern varieties. Ears with a smaller number of fertile ears and a smaller number of grains and lower yield.
