Cilj ovog rada je pružiti pregled mehanizma termoregulacije kod sportskih konja te utjecaj različitih praksi, poput pokrivanja i brijanja dlake, na sposobnost održavanja stabilne tjelesne temperature. Termoregulacija je bitna za održavanje zdravlja i optimalnih performansi konja. Prirodni mehanizam termoregulacije kod konja je složen i dinamičan proces. Praksa brijanja i pokrivanja dlake može značajno utjecati na prirodni mehanizam termoregulacije. Nepravilno brijanje konja može smanjiti... More izolacijske sposobnosti dlake. Nepravilno pokrivanje može uzrokovati prekomjerno znojenje ili pregrijavanje ako nije usklađeno s mikroklimom prostora i specifičnim potrebama konja. Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the mechanism of thermoregulation in sports horses and the influence of different practices, such as covering and shaving, on the ability to maintain a stable body temperature. Thermoregulation is essential for maintaining the health and optimal performance of horses. The natural mechanism of thermoregulation in horses is a complex and dynamic process. The practice of shaving and covering hair can significantly affect the natural... More mechanism of thermoregulation. Improper shaving of a horse can reduce the insulating properties of the coat. Improper covering can cause excessive sweating or overheating if it is not adapted to the microclimate of the room and the specific needs of the horse. It is important that horse breeders carefully consider each animal's individual needs and conditions before applying shaving and covering methods. Proper management and understanding of these practices helps preserve the welfare of the horse. Less
