Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi kako hranidba kukuruzom biofortificiranog cinkom i selenom utječe na povećanje navedenih mikroelemenata u jajetu te na kvalitetu konzumnih jaja. Pokusno razdoblje trajalo je 4 mjeseca. Kokoši su bile podijeljene u četiri skupine (A, B, C i D). Kokoši skupine A predstavljale su kontrolnu skupinu i konzumirale su smjese komercijalnog sastava, dok je skupina B konzumirala hranu s kukuruzom biofortificiranim s cinkom, a skupine C i D s dvije razine selena.... More Kvaliteta jaja određena je na ukupno 200 jaja, sadržaj cinka na 14 jaja i selena na 30 jaja. Parametri kvalitete jaja određeni su na svježim i čuvanim jajima. Od pokazatelja kvalitete jaja izmjereni su masa jaja i osnovnih dijelova, širina i dužina jaja te indeks oblika, boja žumanjka, visina bjelanjka; Haughove jedinice, čvrstoća i debljina ljuske, pH bjelanjka i pH žumanjka. Analizom rezultata utvrđeno je da se korištenjem kukuruza biofortificiranog selenom u hrani kokoši pasmine „Hrvatica“ statistički značajno povećava sadržaj selena u jestivom dijelu jaja (P<0,001), te se pozitivno djeluje na pokazatelje kvalitete jaja. Biofortifikacija kukuruza cinkom nije polučila zadovoljavajuće rezultate, stoga nije bilo značajnih razlika (P>0,05) kod sadržaja cinka u bjelanjcima kao i kod većine pokazatelja kvalitete jaja. Less
Abstract (english)
The aim of this research was to determine how feeding corn biofortified with zinc and selenium affects the increase of these microelements in egg, and what kind of influence it have on quality of eggs. Trial period lasted 4 months. Hens were divided into four groups (A, B, C, D). Hens from group A were representing control group and they consumed commercial mixtures. Group B consumed feed with corn biofortified with zinc, while groups C and D consumed feed with two levels of selenium.... More Quality of eggs was determined on the total of 200 eggs, zinc content on 14 eggs and selenium on 30 eggs. Egg quality parameters were determined on fresh and stored eggs. Egg quality parameters that were measured include: weight of eggs and basic parts, width and lenght of ege and the shape index, yolk color, albumen height, Haugh units, eggshell strenght and thickness, pH values of albumen and yolk. The results have shown that the use of corn biofortified with selenium in feed for "Hrvatica" hen significantly increases selenium content in the edible part of egg (P<0.001), and have a positive effect on egg quality parameters. Biofortification of corn with zinc did not yield satisfactory results, so there were no significant differences (P>0,05) in zinc content in egg whites as well as in most of egg quality parameters Less
